Our Story
For over 25 years, Belfair Farms Riding Academy has been a cornerstone of equestrian education in the Charlotte area. Belfair Farms has grown into one of the region's most trusted and welcoming barns, having served hundreds of riders from Fort Mill to Ballantyne and beyond.
Our mission has always been simple: make quality equestrian programs accessible to everyone. Whether you're a nervous beginner or a seasoned competitor, whether you own a horse or you're trying riding for the first time, you'll find a home at Belfair Farms. We believe in building confident, knowledgeable riders through patient instruction, quality horses, and a supportive community.
Today, our 35-acre facility includes 2 outdoor riding arenas, 5 acres of scenic trails, spacious stalls, and all the amenities needed for a premier equestrian experience. More importantly, it's home to a community of riders, families, and horse lovers who share a passion for these incredible animals.

Our Facility
Belfair Farms sits on 35 acres of well-maintained property in Van Wyck, SC—just 30 minutes south of Charlotte via I-77. Our outdoor facility offers riders the opportunity to connect with nature while developing their skills in a professional equestrian environment.
RIDING ARENAS
Our two outdoor lighted arenas provide excellent space for lessons, training, and practice, carefully maintained with all-weather footing. Year-round riding is available as our outdoor facilities are maintained for comfortable use throughout the year, with lessons proceeding in most weather conditions and rescheduling options available when needed.

BARN & STALLS
Our barn features spacious, well-ventilated 12x12 stalls with daily cleaning and fresh bedding, a quality feed program, six wash stalls with hot/cold water, secure tack storage areas, and comfortable grooming and tacking spaces designed for quality horse care.
